Indeed; as far as the actual quality of the connection, one is as good
as another.
Some of the problems you can encounter with ConfigPPP are that the "Open"
button is grayed out for no particular reason, and that the preferences
file sometimes becomes corrupted and must be deleted.

Don't your users log in without scripts with PAP or CHAP? It's simpler
for the customer, and for you, and it's more efficient!

It's slightly easier to convince them when they have a non working
ConfigPPP :-)
And FreePPP is a breeze to install, and OT PPP comes with the more recent
OS versions!
