It seems the simpler your OSPF configuration, the happier the Maxen
are.  Pool summary also makes a tremendous difference.  Before we had
pool summary enabled on 4 of our 10 Maxen, none of them were happy. 
(That's a whole lot of OSPF chatting).  After Pool Summary was enabled
on all 10, much less OSPF traffic was generated (virtually none), and
the Maxen all seem to be much happier.  Unfortunately, pool summary
requires us to throw away IP addresses since we're are forced to use
network aligned blocks.
