(ASCEND) documentation on mixing of SeriesI and SeriesII modems

Is there some documentation somewhere on what can be mixed and matched
on a TNT in regard with SeriesI and SeriesII modem cards.  The plan is
to move 6 48 SeriesI modem cards in one chassis and 3 48 SeriesII in chassis
2 a multichassis TNT.  I heard that you cannot mix SeriesI and SeriesII
modems in one chassis.
