(ASCEND) Datacall on Max 4000
Greetings! I have an ancient (and neglected) Max 4000 running SW Rel 4.6b
that I'm using for ISDN. We have 1 PRI installed. I read that upgrading the
software will kill my ISDN capability because new versions of the software
check for Datacall installation, and my version of the s/w didn't require
Datacall. Did any of you experience this way back when you upgraded? If
so, did Ascend make you buy the datacall? I think it's ridiculous that a
software upgrade will render my production system unusable, but after
reading a lot of the mail archive, I guess this happens. I look forward to
your responses. Thanks!
