If you mean the "cloud" startup screen; then yes, I have been
dealing with this since the first time I set up a remote computer
with no server on site.
I am using Client32v2.50 to connect a single remote computer via a
pair of Pipe 75s to a Netware 4.11 server at the central office.
Bootup routine is like this; Power on computer. Line comes up,
computer halts at clouds, line drops from timeout. Ctrl-Alt-Del,
select safe mode. Start, Restart. Repeat until eventually I get a
Client32 login. Thereafter all IP and IPX apps work very well, so I
expect routing tables and such are all OK.
Had the same problem with Client32 2.2. Tried dial query on and
off, no difference. Both P75s are running 5.1ap8, widely considered
the most stable rev in existance.
The line also tends to stay up, even when the computer is off,
leading to some loooong uptimes.
Hopefully you will find a clue here somewhere that will help. I've
resigned myself to either booting with the network wire out (and
thus having IP but no Netware services available) or exercising
these three fingers.
