(ASCEND) How to restrict analog MP calls? (fwd)
Once upon a time Stephen Chen shaped the electrons to say...
>sets the User-Service=Framed-User, and Framed-Protocal=PPP. Apparently no
>matter what Framed-Protocal is set to (PPP or MPP), the caller is still
>able to establish multi-channel MP connections.
well, 'MPP' isn't a valid Framed-Protocol according to the RFC - MP is still
'PPP'.
The RFC has an attribute to control this called Port-Limit. For example
Port-Limit = 1
That would prevent the user from bundling additional ports with their
first link. It can be any integer value.
Since it has been in the RFC for quite a long time, I would expect Ascend
has support or it. All of the other vendors I can think of do.
