If you set full security you will only get security profile 1 from
the max over the console.
The only way we have managed to get back into a max after the level 9
password has been lost without clearing the config is via SNMP. If you
know the SNMP strings on the box in question you should be able to read the
entire config from the box and then get into it that way.
If you don't know the SNMP passwords the other way is to open the box up and
slide a piece of paper under the battery and leave it for about 5 minutes.
This will blank the config. I have never done this of course because if you
Ascend rep found out it could invalidate your warranty :)
