They left that feature in there so people could hook up to your equipment
in unprotected colo rooms and steal all your goodies.

Indeed, the console should be locked down if he enabled full security.

You can pull the config out of the box using SNMP. Download it to a file
and then look at the passwords (which are in clear text I beleive). Voila.
