The IDSL cards for the 4000/6000 series and the TNT include 2B+D channels
via AT&T point-to-point or NI-1 signaling, just like you'd receive from the
area telco.  At this point it's not possible to have two pipelines go
point-to-point with each other, but to my understanding this was the
original intent of the IDSL switch type on the Pipelines -- setting a
switch type of IDSL was intended to generate AT&T PTP 2B+D over dry copper.
That's according to Ascend TAC, so take it as you would anything else from
TAC.
