Actually only AT&T Point-to-point signaling is used over the D-channel.

The protocol is not symmetrical, so Pipeline/Pipeline will not work unless
they also added a "network side" load to the IDSL switch types.

Actually setting the remote Pipeline to AT&T PtP over an IDSL circuit to an
ISDL card in the MAX/TNT is how this is achieved. IDSL switch type adds the
ability to carry voice calls over the IDSL circuit.
