Re: (ASCEND) Ascend Access Control and SOLARIS 2.6?
1.0Ai10 runs pretty well on our Solaris 2.5.1 machine. Every once in a
while, about every 5 or 6 days, it decides to just quit when rotating the
log file (this is fun since the logflle is rotated at 12am). This bug is
listed as fixed in the release notes... For about 80 MAXs the logfile ends
up about 26MB a day.
Proxy seems to work pretty well although we haven't exactly worked it
especially hard. We have had absolutely NO luck with radstated. Support
seems to have no answers for us on that one although I've talked to 3
different people about it (TR #195235 I think). Last but not least the
commercial version seems to require more resources than the free one,
although we are running it with a DEFAULT entry in the users file and
making it do realm authentication which prevents it from loading our
kih.users file into memeory I think.
I don't think it was worth it for us, except that we really needed an
ascend specific radius that would do proxy, considering we can't get
radstated to work.
