Re: (ASCEND) V.90 beta

Really? From what I'd heard from Ascend customers on THIS list testing
the ascend v.90 code on their equipment they were having great connects
with USR v.90 enabled sportsters, and that's what I'm basing my opinions
upon. Have you tried the code and found different results? If so,
present then present them. Jason Buchanan at digistar seems to think it
works great, and EVERYONE who has upgraded to the beta code has raved
about it without giving many major details.

Bottom line:

Far be it from me to defend any vendor, especially Ascend, but your attack
is unfounded, and an adult such as yourself should know better. The proof
of current v.90 ineroperability has been given to this list by people with
no reason to lie. Whether you choose to believe it or not is your own
decision, but I'd be more inclined to believe people who have actually
gotten v.90 connects between their Ascend equipment and upgraded USR X2
modems.
