(ASCEND) Year 2000 problem with Ascend Radius

I was just looking through the Radius Configuration Guide (June 10, 1997
copyright date) and found on page 9-67 some information that disturbed me.

Under Ascend-PW-Expiration which specifies the expiration date for a users
password, it has a default value of 00/00/00. According to the doc, if a
user logs in with the same or later date, they will get the pw-expired
messsage. If you DO specify a date, you need to enter a four digit year
which "must start with the number 19".

This implies that radius users will be locked out on Jan 1, 2000.

HELLO!!!! Is someone TOTALLY braindead over there???? I sure as HELL hope
that this is a typo, or that the software has been changed to fix this.
There is no excuse for any software written in the past 5 years to have a
year 2000 problem IMHO.
