 I believe it's just a different OS load, instead of load tik.m40 you 
would load the eik.m40 version.

tik.m40         Max 40xx    T1/PRI w/ RIP/OSPF, K56 Flex support
eik.m40         Max 40xx    E1/PRI w/ RIP/OSPF, K56 Flex, R2 support
