(ASCEND) Clearing a Max 4000?

Is there an easy way to completely blow away all the setting on a MAX 4000
(including passwords)?  We received a MAX4000 from another ISP and I don't
have the PW for it.  Waiting for a call back from Ascend Tech support but I
can't wait four days.  Ideas?
