(ASCEND) deleting inactive user

One of our user is complaining about not being able to log on because
max tells him he is already logged in. 

He doesn't show up in the active sessions window. A 'show users'
indicates that he has an entry with a 0 session id, and N/A in most
other fields. Is this causing the max to think he is already logged in?
How does one delete this entry?

We have a Max4000 running 6.1.7.
