More particularly, Ascend is going the Micro$oft way, and taking
the public view that anything that might-possibly-just-about-for-
whatever-reason-at-all give the idea that your product might not
function perfectly, regardless of the application or the state of
the corresponding network, is "bad" and that the users should be
defended from it. Error messages must be bad.
Dumbing down for Wallstreet and the media.
