re: (ASCEND) ISDN is dying out - DSL is killing it
The writing is on the wall. With an increase in Internet access, the
public telephone network is becomming over burdened and the cost to expand
is too high. DSL releives that burden and delivers what we have all been
asking for... price, performance and reliability. Unfortunately,
availability is severely limited but that should change over the next 12
months. The prevailing flavor of DSL will likely be ADSL (G-Lite). I
don't know anyone who doesn't have plans for a full blown rollout. The one
quality that is missing though is compatibility. G-lite is supposed to fix
that but there is still a way to go before any standards are ironed out and
in place.
Is anyone else seeing the same thing... well if we don't see it now... we
won't be able to miss it in the near future!!!!

It is becoming painfully obvious to us that ISDN is going the way
of the 9600 baud modem. We are seeing a steady migration of ISDN
customers over to DSL service.
Is anyone else seeing the same thing?
