(ASCEND) Turning off VJ Comp on a per-user basis

Sorry if this is a simple question, but I've got an angry customer on
the line and need to resolve this quickly.  On our Max 4048 (7.0.4),
we normally have VJ compression on.  One (and only one) NT user
seems to have problems with this, based on what we learned
with another type of modem.  It appears radius allows us to turn ON
VJ compression with the Framed-Compression param, but can
we leave it on for all customers, and then turn it off for this one user?
