(ASCEND) Termsrv instead of PPP, MAX on NT4.0

Our ISP uses a MAX 4048 with K56 V.90 digital modems.  We are running Max
software version +7.0.3.  This is an NT4.0 environment running RADIUS.  We
are set up to run PAP.

We have a number of clients, running Win 95 and 98' that are coming into the
MAX and being listed as 'termsrv' instead of PPP.  This is a spiradic
problem.   A user experiencing this problem can, occasionally, get in as PPP
with no problems.  At other times they can redial 30 times and come in as
'termsrv' each time.  Resetting their machine does not seem to help the
problem.  We've checked every setting on they're system and everything looks
fine.

This is probably happening to about 10 different users out of 250.  Has
anyone seen this problem before under this environment, and if so, how may
we correct it.
