(ASCEND) Disconnects / Versions

A few weeks ago someone raised the question regarding user disconnects and
was going to compile a list of what versions people suggested.  Does anyone
know if that went anywhere, or have any comments/experiences on the most
stable version for the max 4000/2000's?

We're running 7.0.4 on our boxes and half of our users are rock solid, but
the other half complain of frequent disconnects.  We upgraded from 7.0.3
where we had the same complaints, especially with the USR modem owners.

Has anyone else gone through this that can share their experiences either on
specific version issues, or settings we can implement or suggest?
