[Fwd: Re: (ASCEND) tnt clocking]

Ok, fixed all the frame slip / clocking problems.
Here's what was happening:
tnta - used as a core router, all nailed lines no switched lines.
tntb - used as a pop, multiple switched and nailed lines.

tnta - clocking off of a nailed line to a remote customer.
had frame slips on more than 5 of the nailed lines.
one of the nailed lines is a t1 to tntb.

tntb - clocking off of a pri line.

The pri on tntb is not really in use. The small telco is this particular
town doesn't even offer isdn service. set all lines to not-eligible
except for 1 switched t1. All lines stayed active.

On tnta I set all lines not-eligible execept for the nailed line to
tntb. All lines stayed active and I have not yet seen a frame slip!

So in conclusion I will pay better attention to clock source
availability, and make sure only one known good line is set as eligible.

Thanks everyone.
