No. Most keys you find somewhere (because somebody has forgotten or
lost it) do not have labels like "Mr. Doe, 23 foostreet, ..." on
them. Crossfire is not a pure action game --- it has puzzles, and I
would hate to see if the puzzles are removed so players don't have
to wander around --- either wander around and risk somethiong, or stay
at places you already know and don't proceed in the game.

It has to be balanced, of course --- just naming all keys "key" without
anything else is definitely the wrong thing. On the other hand, naming
all keys with exact descriptions of where they can be used isn't better
either.

Same as emty notes or books or signs.  There are whole libraries of
empty books in the game. I guess the map makers just wanted to add
some flavor to the map, but they didn't want to spend the time
adding text into these things. Same with flavor monsters such as
guildmasters --- many of them don't talk.
