Freaky new LILO messages

Ok, umm.. I just compiled 2.1.123, and now I'm getting funky errors when
trying to run '/sbin/lilo'

This is a computer where I've been installing linux kernels for quite a
while, and the partition layouts have been the same for many months.
However, I get a message I've never seen before:

# /sbin/lilo
geo_comp_addr: Cylinder number is too big (2130 > 1023)

Apparently that first number is pseudo-random, since I also ran it
earlier, and I had a number somewhere around 1150...

Anyone have a clue on how to fix this? I'm scared to reboot my computer
now, since I'm not sure if any LILO information still exists, and I also
don't know if this floppy drive works anymore (how would I know -- I
never use it!)

Thanks a bunch,

Mike Hicks
