Re: [TCLUG:1781] DNS server timing out - solved!



I have fixed the problem.

What I did was I changed when named started during the boot process. 
I'm starting it before inetd so named can claim port 53 before inetd
can try to use it.

I didn't see anything in the inetd.conf file that referred to port
numbers so I wasn't able to determine the service that was trying to
use port 53 that way.
