Lower t-mode to 3v3 or 2v2 so that it's not out of t-mode when they
take planets?

Or you could turn off planet taking, and make continuum the IRC netrek server,
where all you do is sit around and talk since there is no t-mode, and you
can't do anything without t-mode.
