James and I spoke about this when he was trying to figure out if it
was possible to switch continuum to LTD_STATS.

It was my opinion that a very large (at least non-insignificant)
percentage of the people who play pickup are there to scum rank.
Removing rank would remove the incentive to play pickup and therefore
would reduce the playerbase for pickup.
