You should never run any of the Debugs for any extended part of time, Just
run enought to capture some data and then turn it off. I have also seen
maxes crash while running debug mode.

You can also see the requests if you run your radiusd with the -x option
this will run it and spew out all data to console then you also would
be able to see the 0 length user name and other fun items.
