A message was posted about a month ago about an incompatibility between
the USR Total Control Hub and Ascend radiusd.

I tracked this problem and found that the USR sends all zeroes for the
RADIUS authentication vector when doing accounting, even if you set a key.

The fact that this box works with other RADIUS servers casts alarming
doubt as to whether or not these other servers (among them Merit's and
USR's) actually authenticate RADIUS packets!

Well, so much for those USR chassis, one more reason to buy only the
bare minimum to support the X2 customers...
