To prove them just create a profile with Data Svc=Modem and call your
phone, or use test with data-svc=Modem. Other ways are less reliable
(using open in the Termserv would be an option).

Modems don't get calls assigned ? Any chance you are using ID Auth at least
on "Prefered" level and you don't have a Radius Server ? If so, known
problem (whenever it will be fixed, I've seen it with 5.0A the first
time and ever since until p13 and maybe later). Best proof for this bug
is whether modems get calls assigned when ID Auth=None. If so, you can
circumvent the bug by supplying a Radius server (which can be empty,
it just has to exist). You may even use the builtin Radius server of
this Max and point its Radius Auth to itself - works.
