(ASCEND) Channels Stuck in Answer Mode

MAX4048 w/5.0Ap11

I have 3 channels that are stuck in answer mode.
  
The L1 stats show something like 
 -r-----**r-.

sh users shows
 I 245759252 1:9    5:10   0        Initial       N/A      Answer

when I try to kill 245759252 I get
 Unable to kill session 245759252.

I've tried disabling the modem in Modem Diag, and the channel in
Factory -> Line 1, nothing works.

Is there a way to kill these individual channels without
disabling/reseting the entire trunk? 
 The telco CAN release them individually from their side.
