FW: (ASCEND) Pipeline connection
We were the customer with the Pipeline (a P130 in this case), and our
ISDN connection with our ISP would stay up pretty much forever. I put in
the filters you have and the input filter to keep "any incoming traffic
from resetting the idle timer" (generic, all zeroes, compare=Equals). We
still kept an infinite connection. It turned out our ISP had to change a
setting on their end (a MAX TNT, I think). I didn't understand the
explanation (something about RADIUS, multi-casts, and time-outs). The
summary they gave me was:
There was a customer that had a similar problem just the past week. I
have added a timeout on our end that should alleviate the unwanted
connection time.
After they added the timeout yesterday, we've dropped right on schedule.
Hope this gives you a lead.
