What version of software are you using?
Which SNMP Traps have you enabled?

The MAX will send a security trap whenever someone telnets to the router
and gets to the "Main Edit Menu" (i.e. console).  This is normally an object
in the console group -- 1.3.6.1.4.1.529.8....

This is what is sent when using 5.0Ap27 - a program like tcpdump or snoop
or etherfind can be used to verify the packet.
