They will have an all new OS. I've talked to testers - they haven't been flattering to say the least. 2. It still lacks OSPF, which tends to be a big issue for the large users who're looking at this kind of thing. 3. No T3 - not dense enough. 4. No variety of interfaces which other products offer. It basically nothing more than a dense modem/ISDN rack, lacking advanced comm server features of the other vendors. And a brand new OS is always a joy. -MZ -- Livingston Enterprises - Chair, Department of Interstitial Affairs Phone: 800-458-9966 510-737-2100 FAX: 510-737-2110 megazone@livingston.com For support requests: support@livingston.com <http://www.livingston.com/> Snail mail: 4464 Willow Road, Pleasanton, CA 94588 ++ Ascend Users Mailing List ++ To unsubscribe: send unsubscribe to ascend-users-request@bungi.com To get FAQ'd: <http://www.nealis.net/ascend/faq>

Follow-Ups:

Re: (ASCEND) The MAX TNT (fwd)

From: Josh Bailey <joshb@xtra.co.nz>

Prev by Date: (ASCEND) spam harvester

Next by Date: (ASCEND) Max4000 + TNT Stacking

Prev by thread: Re: (ASCEND) The MAX TNT (fwd)

Next by thread: Re: (ASCEND) The MAX TNT (fwd)

Index(es):

Main

Thread
