(ASCEND) Slow e-mail send when using NAT on P75

Hi, gang.  I have a Pipeline 75, and I use NAT and grab a dynamically
assigned IP from my local ISP.

If I use Single IP Addr NAT, all is fine until I try to send an
e-mail, then I will sit there and wait forever, like 35-45 seconds. 
If I use Multi IP addr NAT, my e-mail will be sent immediately..

Is there some way to speed up sending E-mail when using NAT and Single
IP Addr??  Wonder why it is so slow on Single IP Addr??
