Sorry, this is not true.
Every 56K technology was developed to work on ANALOGIC lines, on the client
side.
OTOH, the ISP side MUST be digital. If you have one or more A-D conversion,
then you DON'T have 56K.
This is the reason for these technologies being called "assimetrical".
