RE: (ASCEND) MRTG and nailed WAN on a max4000




Gee, and thats why the subject of the orginal message is Navis Access and
a nailed Wan...cause he wanted to pay thousands for something that still
crashed a machine with 256 megs of ram. 

Here is what I do.

I got snmpwalk from the cmu tools. Walked my max/tnt/grf and got all the
oids. Telnet into the max and drop to term. do a netstat -rn and figure out
which Wan port the link you want to monitor is on. Look at my list of
oids and compare the wan port to the interface number. you can drop the
interface number into mrtg for monitoring then. the full oids are:

1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.Interface#&1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.11.Interface#:
