I have been connecting with a Mac for years, using FreePPP 2.6.2b3 and
system 7.5, 7.6, 8.0, 8.1 and 8.5, currently to a Max running 6.0.7.
I would recommend using FreePPP anyway, as it is probably the most stable
implementation of PPP on the mac, and is the direct successor to ConfigPPP.
If the issue is how do they get connected to download it, it might be worth
trying to use the version of PPP that comes as part of Open Transport. On a
few occasions this dealt with dirty lines much better.
