Re: (ASCEND) Crazy connect speeds



We've had several users that buy 56K modems from the local computer store.
They work fine at the store, about 1/2 mile from CO. At their homes they get
symptoms similar to below.

If the modem can speak K56Flex then use +ms=k56 (I think this is the code--
try hyperterminal and ask the modem itself with +ms? or +ms=? for the
complete codes it supports.

If K56Flex is out of the question try +ms=v34. This still seems to be the
fastest connection and most reliable for remote customers.
