Don't bother. The JBPC is an indefinite source of frustration. (Blxxdy Java
sh*t :)
Use the telnet interface. This is truly platform independant and it WORKS!
When you get the hang of it, it's really quite easy to work with, IMO one
of the best in the field of SOHO ISDN routers.

As has been said by others, this is normal operation with all NET-3 (ETSI)
lines. Nowhere to be found in the manuals, though.

No. Not if your current sw is working. The old saying "If it aint broke,
don't fix it" is extremely applicable on Ascend's software.

Serial cable connction and a X-modem terminal progg, or set up a
tftp-server on a suitable machine and load it from there. The tftp-version
is very nice once You got it running. I'm using a tftp-server for NT from
the Ascend Max software, available on ftp.ascend.com somewhere.
