(ASCEND) Bring up Pipeline w/Ping?

We have a bunch of Pipelines (75, 85) that users are using from
home and connect into a Max 4002 here in the office.  Right now
the Pipelines are configured to fire up on IP traffice only and I
have built filters into them in order to drop the line on
inactivity.  So far so good.  Now, the users want to be able to
fire up the Pipelines at their homes from here in the office so
that they can transfer files from the office to their home PC.
Is there any way to have the Pipelines fire up from here in the
office without giving them access to the Max?  Maybe by doing a
Ping to the Pipeline?

Any info is greatly appreciated!
