(ASCEND) statistics gathering for Ascend Pipeline 75

Does a program or means exist to produce a usage history for the Ascend
Pipeline 75?  In particular, what I'm looking for is a tool to help me
adjust the otherwise static timeout settings so that I can minimize the
dialup costs while providing reaonsble response times.

I suppose if I just had a means of polling and automatically capturing the
output from the telnet session, that might do.  I would prefer something
that was more event-driven.

Any clues for the clueless?
