As your subject pointed out, POST is Power-On Self Test. These are the
hardware tested performed by the software as it starts running. It sounds
like you have a hardware problem.
Ascend does not, to the best of my knowledge, publish the exact meanings
of the POST failure codes. They are meant for use by Ascend tech support
and engineering.
To better isolate the problem, you should contact emeasupport@ascend.com.
After your initial e-mail contact, you should receive a ticket number.
Once you have your ticket number, you can try giving them a phone call.

The index values for POST FAILURE is different from the index values for
FATAL ERROR. This means that Index 5 is probably not FATAL_LIF_FATAL.
I could not find a "debug manual" in my documentation set.
