10 amps I assume means 10 amps at 12 volts, which means 1 amp at 120 volts.

Since I have measured my Max 4048s as drawing 900mA each (that's with
3 x 16 modem cards), now I can understand why the power supply would be
so likely to blow, since it has only 100mA spare capacity!

I wonder what my Max 4000 with 6 x DM-12 is drawing? I must be overloading
the power supply!
