(ASCEND) Max -isdn-> Pipeline -ether-> Pipeline -isdn-> Pipeline

Howdy,

I'm having problems with the following routing situation:

3. 2. 1.	0.
Customer2	Customer1	Me ---	Net
		Pipe1 -\-----Max
Pipe3	-----	Pipe2 -/

In other words, Customer 2 is connected to Customer1 via an ISDN line,
which connects to another pipeline, and back to our max.

Customer2 has 206.51.30.224/27. The pipeline is ... .225

Customer1 has 207.216.59.128/27 We connect to his .129,
and the pipeline to customer 2 is .133

I have put a static route in my max as follows:

90-402 bits-atotech
 x Name=bits-atotech
 x Active=Yes
 x Dest=206.51.30.224/27
 x Gateway=207.216.59.129
 x>Metric=1
 x Preference=60
 x Private=No
 x Ospf-Cost=1
 x LSA-type=ExternalType1
 x NSSA-ASE7=N/A
 x ASE-tag=c0000000
 x Third-Party=No

The problem is that sometimes it works with a Metric of 1 for a few days,
and then gives up. IOW, the packets bounce off our max, and loop back to
the router. I switch the Metric to 2, and then it works for another day or
so. Then I change it back, etc etc etc. I'm using 6.0.2 software on the max.

Any clues available? I'm lost, and my customer is getting understandably
quite pissed.

Thanks

Rob
