Realism.
I'd prefer that the hero have to seek his reward ... if the King of
Scorn can put a teleporter into the under-city at the point where a
player has to get to to win the quest, why did the King need the player
at all?
A sign at one of the three entrances to the under-city maps;
"Reward Offered
"His Royal Highness King Blathrington of Scorn will grant a
reward to the adventurer who rids the under-city of pests and
returns his teddy bear."
Place a teddy bear at the penultimate point of the under-city map
series, which acts as a key in the Scorn castle in front of the king
which causes him to say "Thank you, sir [note sexist defect], for
returning my teddy bear. You reward is to our left." or something.
Right, I'm off to enjoy Christmas now. See yahs.
