Re: (ASCEND) updating Hayes Accura...
Marc, I know what the web page says, and tried it. Mucked up the modem,
called Hayes and after beating up 2 or 3 tech support guys finally got a
senior engineer on line and what I said is what he told me. By then I was
so incensed I forgot to ask about what the web pages said. But I have
steered about a half dozen of our clients this direction and myself once
again and it has worked so....
The best I can figure is they made some hardware (firmware vice flashware)
based changes between .516 and .519 that require new hardware vice a quick
flash, but that is only a guess.
