Heard it all .. been there done that. IMHO .. the worst peice of hardware
one has is the current one they are running. The worst piece of software
is the the current one running ..etc..etc.. IT ALL looks greener on the
other side.
As someone stated, find the equipment that BEST suits what you are doing,
dont try and ask more of it then it is capable of doing (a mans gotta know
his limitations- same for equipment).
So far, other than SOME crap that we have had to put up with, we have HAD
very good success with ASCEND and have run a 99.4% uptime over a 18 month
period ( .4% down time due to upgrades, .1% due to SERVER problems and
another .1 to -WHO_THE_HECK_KNOWS- ;-> ).
ASCEND makes a pretty decent low-to-middle level access router line, But
I sure wouldnt ask the TNT to do the duties of a GRF.
