Many people do use them interchangeably, however the call type
as used by the B-channels (B=Bearer) is listed as either 
"Data" or "Voice" in every piece of equipment that I've ever used,
and the objective is to send data over a "Voice Bearer" channel,
thus DOVBS... Data-Over-Voice-Bearer-Service
