Setup help....

Hello T.C. Linux users...

I am new to this mailing list and relatively new to linux. I currently have
Linux loaded on a Dell Dimension 350 however I am having problems loading
the Red Hat Linux 5.1 OS onto my Dell Dimension XPS 200 box.

After the initial boot disk is loaded, the install CD is placed in the
drive. After I select to load from CD it just sits at the message "Scanning
SCSI bus...". It appears as if the system does not recognise my adaptec 2940
Ultra Wide adaptor.

Hitting Alt+F3 and Alt+F4 have provided me with the following messages...

SCSI: aborting command due to timout: pid9, scsi0, channel0, id6, lun0

<4>(scsi0:-1:-1:-1) Bad scbptr 16 during SELTO
<4>(scsi0:-1:-1:-1) Referenced SCB 255 not valid during SELTO
<4> SCSISEQ = 0x5a SEQADDR = 0x7 SSTAT0 = 0x10 SSTAT1 = 0x8a

Any help would be appreciated...thank you in advance for your time.
